Wildfire Risk

We are fortunate to be in a Fire Protection District with a division focused on wildfire. The Conifer Wildland Division is focused on working with partners, large-scale mitigation projects, grants for residents, home assessments, supporting the Community Ambassador Program (CAP), and connecting the community to resources to mitigate our risk and make our community more resilient.

We need a strong, financially sound FPD to continue to provide the focus on wildfire, in addition to, the fundamental Fire/EMS services it provides.

The key statistic from the CWPP is this:

Elk Creek and Inter-Canyon FPDs are in the 99th percentile for wildfire in both Colorado and the United States.
